2008 Man-Gal Entries Hit the Street!

The 2008 Man-Gal Tournament Entry Form has hit the street. The tournament is scheduled for August 9-10 with practice rounds slated for the 8th. This year will be the 39th playing of the popular couples event. Get your entry form here. The entry deadline is August 4th so get your entry in NOW!
Last years championship ended up a tie with Veryl & Cheryl Steppe tying Chuck & Shelly Wilcox with a 36 hole gross score of 151. The senior champions at 154 were Stan & Sue Buratto. We will again have two divisions, an Open Division and a Senior Division. With a larger senior contingent last year, we ended up with one open division flight and two senior flights. Flights will be based upon entries received.
Central Oregon Junior

The Central Oregon Junior will be played on July 14-15. Meadow Lakes GC in Prineville will host the first round on Monday and Juniper will host the final round on Tuesday. Currently 139 juniors have entered the tournament as of July 4th. To see if your entry has been received, click here.
The entry deadline is July 7th and the pairings will be posted on this site by noon on the 10th of July.
Alex Williams wins the 2008 Central Oregon Amateur

The 2008 Central Oregon Amateur was won by Alex Williams with a fine score of 69-72=141. His three under par total bested 5 time defending champion, Tim Sundseth by three shots. The field this year was small but one of the strongest with 15 players at a 4 handicap or less. Juniper member, Tyral Petersen finished one shot further back with a 145 to finish third.
Alex was the low amateur in the 2007 Oregon Open played here at Juniper and is currently playing on the golf team at Oregon State University. Alex will enter Oregon State next fall for his senior year.
Juniper member, Larry Barr, tied for low net in the Cascade Flight with a fine score of 143. The golf course played very tough under perfect weather conditions.
Chris Metcalf leads Central Oregon Amateur

Day one of the Central Oregon Amateur is in the books. Chris Metcalf shot a fine round of 68 to take a one shot lead over Alex Williams. Alex has shown his proficency at Juniper with his fine showing as low amateur in last year's Oregon Open. Jim Orr stands two back with a 70. Five time defending champion, Tim Sundseth, lurks at even par 72 with Tyral Petersen and Carey Watson. Sunday looks to be an exciting day at Juniper Golf Course!

Central Oregon Amateur - June 14-15!

The 51st playing of the Central Oregon Amateur will tee off this Saturday, June 14th. Tim Sundseth is entered this year in his attempt to repeat once again. Tim has won this tournament the last five times it has been played. He will face stiff competition as there are 16 players entered that have a handicap of 4 or less. Tim tees off at 8:40 AM off the first tee. (Complete Pairing List)
There is a small field of 44 players this year. They will be playing in two divisions and their Sunday times will be based upon their Saturday scores. Times will be from 7:30 AM to 10 AM on Sunday.
